pink saturday :: pins

Was sewing something for my creative swap partner when this caught my attention - a pink find!

For more pink finds, hop on over at howsweetthesound.

I might not be able to do my rounds this week. The son has chickenpox. I'll be busy keeping my little lady and my butterball away from their big bro lest they catch the virus too. :(

Hope you are well. Have a great pink weekend!

Buzz, buzz, buzz...

Whenever we go to Jollibee, most of the time, she would pose and have her picture taken with this bee.

Last sunday, we attended a birthday party at Jollibee. When Jollibee entered the room, she got scared and hugged me tight. Dad persisted and carried her near the bee. She looked slowly and started to wave at him. I carried her to shake hands with him or even touch him. Ayaw niya! How come she's not afraid of the big bee statue but afraid of the big mascot? I think most kids are. Even the birthday boy got scared.

When we got home and opened my mailbox, this was in my inbox! Hanggang sa bahay sinundan kami ng bubuyog! "D

pink saturday :: pretend play

During one of our mall visits, we brought the little pink lady in a pretend playhouse. The place was neat and not crowded so the little lady had a great time playing pretend.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY PINK LADIES!

Food Friday : Roast Beef

Our dinner few days ago served ala Pancake style. Roast beef with mushroom sauce on top of a bread with mashed potato on the side. Maybe it will take a while before I'll cook this again. Or beef for that matter. What with the high cost of LPG now. I don't want to waste money on gas just for tenderizing the meat. It took me several hours before the meat became tender! Gah! Which reminds me, we need to buy pugon for that purpose. Why not a pressure cooker? Well, I have a phobia in using one. I once saw how it exploded in my cousin's kitchen. Takot ako!

Silly Hats and Candles

My angel's daughter's birthday. She spent it in our house. Simple celebration. I made newspaper (silly) hats for the kids on the spot. Just to inject some fun. Pretty ba?

{little lady, birthday girl, 2 friends of the birthday girl}

Prepared, menudo, breaded fried chicken, pansit bihon, and sandwich. Bought cakes too. One for the birthday girl and one for the little lady. Of course, she gets to blow candles too! She was happy and bragging about it the whole time - that she blew the candles on her cake.

When she turned 2 last year, she did not blow her candles. I don't know. maybe she doesn't know how yet, nahihiya or umaarte lang. The moment she woke up I gave her something so she could blow candles already. She cried! And did not blow the candles!

{Those are crinkles with lengua de dato (instead of cupcakes as I planned it but forgot to buy). Both came from Baguio courtesy of MIL.
}

Then we had lunch at Grenhills' House of Minis. While having lunch, nag-black-out! Ang sabi, may raid daw ang OMB. I don't know if it was true. Anyway, it was taking so long na, the waiters decided to put lighted candles on the table. All of a sudden the LittleLady started singing happy birthday and wanted to blow the candle!

{masama ang tingin sa kandila}

Come dinner time, and cake blowing time (again), the Little Lady won't budge to blow the candles! Maryosep!

Si Kulit

I was organizing our pictures when I came across with these kulit shots of my LittleLady.

Love, love, love this pic.

She wanted me to give her the food through that hole. 'Di ba ang kulit?

There, she had her way! Corn is her favorite snack. Give it to her anytime and she'll gobble it in a flash!

pink saturday :: cute or creepy?

i went inside the bedroom and saw this on the headboard of my little pink lady's bed! YIKES!

sure, dora is cute in her usual pink top and pink shoes. but this particular dora, that the little pink lady received last christmas, sometimes gives me the creeps! especially when she's there on top of the headboard - all alone!

i don't know. maybe it's because of the hair? the little pink lady has a love-hate relationship with this toy. :(

happy pink saturday everyone!

Food Friday : Tinomok

My favorite comfort food from Gerry's Grill. It is a bicolano dish. My tita, who is a bicolana, cooks a really mean tinomok. Her version is really good because she uses the coco juice (instead of water) to get the 2nd extract of the coco milk to give a hint of sweetness to the sauce. She also uses pure ground shrimp. Gerry's version however, has ground pork. Tinomok is made up of ground shrimp (and pork), wrapped in gabi leaves and cooked in coconut milk.

Definitely a must try!

Walang Rice

We went to Marquinton to treat Kuya for doing well during the last quarter's exam. When the food arrived, Dad gave the LittleLady her share of chicken, mojos and pizza.

LittleLady: Dad, spoon please.
Dad : Okay, here you go.
LittleLady: Thank you, Daduy!

Dad : Welcome po.

LittleLady: (about to scoop food from her plate, shouted) Ay! Walang rice!

Us : :D :D :D

Oo nga naman. Bakit walang rice.
